Born on 6 August 2010 Zoe has already emerged as one of Cyprus’s most promising young weightlifting talents. At just 14 years old she has shown outstanding dedication discipline and strength qualities that set her apart both on and off the platform.
Her rise began early. In 2022 she claimed first place in the U12 category at the 17th International Women’s Grand Prix in Luxembourg announcing herself as a rising star on the international scene. This momentum continued into 2023 when she earned third place at the Small European Countries Championship U20 in Luxembourg followed by a sixth place finish at the 2024 European U15 Championship in Thessaloniki.
In 2024 Zoe reached a new milestone by becoming Champion of Cyprus in four age categories U15 U17 U20 and U23 while also achieving an impressive second place among adult women. Her remarkable season was further recognised at the Panhellenic Weightlifting Championships where she was named Best Female Athlete U15 and secured second place in the U20 59 kg category.
Behind every champion is a support system rooted in belief and perseverance. Zoe trains under the guidance of her father who also serves as her personal coach. Their relationship built on trust and commitment reflects the power of family teamwork and resilience in shaping a champion’s path.
Looking ahead the Cypriot Weightlifting Federation has set ambitious goals for Zoe. She is preparing for future European Championships working toward qualification for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal and representing Cyprus in the Games of the Small European Countries. Notably she has already achieved an impressive fourth place finish at the European U15 Championships in Poland 2025 marking another important step in her development.
