31 May Dry Docking of MV Puerto Rosario
The MV Puerto Rosario has successfully completed its second special survey and dry docking at the CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. shipyard. This was achieved with the expertise of the Uniteam Marine Technical Superintendent, the Owner’s representative, and the shipyard’s skilled team, all of whom prioritized quality and safety.
During the survey, the vessel underwent a thorough check-up, including major upgrades to its automation systems and machinery to comply with the latest standards. The cargo holds received special attention, being fully upgraded and coated to meet stringent grain standards, improving both cargo handling and safety.
The hull inspection ensured compliance with the EPA’s Vessel General Permit, reinforcing our commitment to environmental protection. An Enhanced Survey Programme (ESP) was conducted according to Bureau Veritas (BV) rules for single skin bulk carriers, ensuring the vessel’s structural integrity and longevity.
Dry docking was crucial for detailed inspections, repairs, and upgrades, essential for the vessel’s seaworthiness and efficiency. This comprehensive process underscores our dedication to maintaining high industry standards and ensuring the MV Puerto Rosario’s operational reliability.
On May 30, 2024, the vessel set sail from the shipyard on her long-term charter, showcasing the collaborative efforts of everyone involved. The MV Puerto Rosario is now equipped to meet the demands of her charter, with enhanced capabilities and safety standards.
